How to Submit a Request 

Employees may initiate a request for reasonable accommodation in writing or verbally to their immediate supervisor.  

  • Medical documentation must be provided to support an accommodation request.
  • Employees can obtain information or a request for reasonable accommodation (see below) or obtain specific information on reasonable accommodation by contacting their Department Human Resource Office/Medical Leaves & Accommodation Services. 

Applicants/Candidates may request a reasonable accommodation to participate in a County examination and/or to participate in the departmental hiring interview process by:  

  • Notifying the Human Resource Services Department representative listed on the examination announcement and submit their accommodation request (see below) and supporting documentation, and, 
  • Making a request as soon as possible and before the last day to file an application to make necessary arrangements.
