After a short retirement, I re-entered the workforce full-time through the TAP Program. It was an excellent option for me because of the many departments in which I could work and grow. The TAP Case Managers took genuine interest in me a jobseeker. I have valued working with diverse groups in Alameda County and helping serve my community.
After being hired into the TAP Program 10 years ago, my time at the County has allowed me to tackle my passions, create everlasting bonds amazing people and help others who may have once been in my position. With patience and perseverance, I am incredibly happy and fulfilled by the team I have now. I can see how much all my hard work paid off.
The TAP Program allowed me to extend my assignment with my department and step into various roles, including leadership roles. I became an integral part of the day-to-day operations, soon becoming a permanent team member and now a manager.

I was new to the workforce when I joined TAP. During my time in the program, I established relationships, learned new skills, and gained valuable experience to help inform the next steps of my career.
